i dont understand how this protects us (no, i havent joined yet just considering).  If the DC from the PO isnt considered good for anything for a regular book here, I dont understand why it would be used for BOB shipments?

am i missing something?

I think probably to prove that you mailed the books. So if the other peson complains that they never got them you can at least have the DC as proof that they were mailed.  Maybe it helps to cut down on the number of false "I never got my books" claims.

If I am not mistaken, I think this HC item was in place before the PBS-DC was made available here. You can now create custom DC labels here at PBS for them.  I could be wrong about that, as I let my BoB expire and kinda quit paying attention to the guidelines about it.

so is there a "feedback" in the BOB forums?  i am looking for such specific books, and not really popular ones, that im not sure if i will benefit from BOB (but of course i went wishy/washy about buying postage from pbs and now im doing that...so it doesnt take long to get me sucked in when it comes to books! lol!).

Yes Alex,

Because BOB is a "pay-for" service there is a feedback option rating for each box transaction.  If you click on the "boxer" logo under a member name you can see the feedback messages that they have received for their transactions.

yes there is feedfack on BOB, but only after you finish your half of the trade. You give feedback on the member who sent you the books. There are no BOB forums.
