the baby-care information is pretty basic (what kind of clothes you'll need, why babies cry, diapering, etc). what makes this book worth reading are the suggestions and advice from the author's female family members who are/were midwives, as well as the excellent black and white photos.
Practical advice, but pretty self explanitory. It wasn't about what I thought it would be about.
