This is a great reference book for the new mother. It gives a week by week look at development, possible problems and what to expect as your child grows.

The timing on this book is all off. 4 weeks does not equal a month old & a pediatrician should know that. Therefore, when you're baby is 36 weeks old, the book says they are 9 months old & should be doing things that they aren't. Which is worrisome as a parent. It took me a minute to figure out what the problem is, and now, to me, the book is worthless.

I have to admit that I just don't care for this book. I like the 'What to Expect...First Year' better. I didn't read any pregnancy books and was recommend both (bought both) this and the 'What to Expect..' book once I had the baby. It's just a little too plain for me.
