I just wanted to let you know that my new chemo doesn't seem to be working all that well.  I had a scan on Monday and saw my oncologist yesterday.  There are unfortunately 3 small spots that showed up; one near my lungs, one near my pancreas and one on my liver.  There is another brand new chemo that we just started yesterday that the doctor is very excited about.  He already has 4 patients on it and they are all doing well so we are very hopeful.  My biggest issue lately has been severe  nausea and the weight loss that comes along with not feeling like eating.  My spirits are still pretty good and I can feel myself gathering into fight mode again, but I would appreciate thoughts and prayers to help keep my strength up.

Cheryl...hang in there!  Light and love, prayers and positive thoughts all coming your way.  Honestly, any time a doctor is excited..that's a very good thing, so keep that good attitude going! heart

Cheryl,

A tough piece of news indeed, but I applaud your spirit and know that you can beat this! I agree w/ Vicky ... anytime you see a doctor excited, it is safe for you to get excited as well!

Hang in there, and know that we are pulling for you from all across the country! And! Are you wearing Thor? (That is what Linda will want to know! smiley )

Thanks for all the good wishes everyone.  The nausea seems to be getting better with some new meds and yes, I am wearing my Thor's amulet fairly often!

Great news today....went in for my second round of the new chemo treatment and my blood work is showing that everything is in or near the normal ranges once again after one treatment and only 3 weeks.  My doctor was right, this new stuff is awesome!
