This is a novel based upon the memoir "My 30 Years Backstairs at the White House" by Lillian Rogers Parks. This was made into a mini-series starring Leslie Uggams.

A look at Washington politics through the eyes of the household staff at the White House from Taft through Eisenhower. A different perspective on American History. Extremely interesting.

A fascinating inside look at several different administrations. Really captures the different personalities of the White House under each First Family.
