What can I say? A highly emotional, frightening, haunting and chilling book. Which makes the book all the more memorable. The detailed description of the execution is excellent.

Book four of The Green Mile books works well as a standalone book. To be fully appreciated and understood the reader must read the first three books prior to reading this one.
The movie is faithful to the book. The book, however fleshes out the character of John Coffey a bit more than does the movie.
