Born and nearly killed in the Appalachian Mountains, Taggart has the ability to reinvent himself as time and circumstances demands. Taggart is no prince charming in the looks department but that doesn't prevent him from being endearing to those he allows to get close enough to him. Despite him being nicknamed after a mouth ailment that torments him throughout his days one can't help but liking him or admiring him quite a lot. Someone elsewhere commented that this book was combination Cormac McCarthy and Coen Brothers art, I agree, and with a little twist of Clint Eastwood thrown in.
