This is an excellent look at nursing in war coditions and survival of this wonderful, strong BAND OF ANGELS.Historically accurate, it tells how the army was abandoned by Mac Arthur , a jungle hospital with trees for a roof and capture and survival. Wonderful and enlightening, I LOVED it!

This title was required reading for my daughter's college class. When she switched classes and no longer needed the book, I began reading it and much to my surprise, I could not put it down! I was totally drawn into the story. It was very well written and told an extremely descriptive and fascinating story of courage, loyalty, fortitude, sacrifice, and frienship. Women rising to the occasion. A story that truly needed to be told and well-deserving of reading.
Women, as well as men, from all walks of life can draw inspiration from this story.
