Book 2 but it stands on it's own, i never got to read book 1 and i did enjoy this. When i read a series book i like something that will grab my attention quickly, move along quickly and give me an ending so i don't have to read them all if i choose not to, but still be satisified. This did all that for me. I just wanted a quick murder to divert me and this one was fun. I'd read book 3 just for a simple read to give me a break from my usual genre.

Very good series, good fun, great characters, good message without being preachy and the characters are real to life. Not a bunch of phoniness. Good mystery.
