This story is what a quest tale should be. Good humored Prince Roger has the gift of making people laugh with his mere prescence, but this gift is not conductive to building relationships, much less running a kingdom. So Roger is sent out on a quest where he learns about relating to others in a very real way. Quirky humor and profound. Language is suitible for older children and adults who still enjoy a good tale or for reading outloud to younger kids as a bedtime story.

Interesting book, quirky. I thought it was good, but it is not of the ilk that my 9 YO would enjoy, so I'll let someone else read it for now~ I need the space on my shelves. :)

This book is hilarious and very clever. It is enjoyable for upper elementary kids through adults. I read it for the first time in college, while my friend who recommended it has had it since she was a child. We both love it.
