Basic White Sauce

1 1/2 cups - 1% or skim milk
1 Tbs - flour
3 Tbs - Parmesan Cheese
1 - chicken boullion cube
1/2 tsp - salt
1/2 tsp - white or black pepper
Spray a saute pan w/ Pam.
To the pan add 1 ½ c skim milk, 2 Tbs flour, 3 Tbs parmesan cheese, 1 chicken boullion cube,1/4 tsp white or black pepper and ½ tsp salt.
Bring just to a simmer and let thicken while whisking continuously. It is finished when the sauce is thick and bubbly.
Serve immediately over pasta, rice, chicken or fish.
Add to any dish: veggies, pasta, chicken, etc.
I’ve added it to hamburger and macaroni for my own Hamburger Helper.
Makes great Alfredo with Italian Seasonings on Farfalle pasta yum!
I've also melted in a bag of shredded cheddar cheese and made my own macaroni and cheese, it was terrific.
** Also, if you are doing Weight Watchers, this entire pan of sauce comes out to 6 points :)
