Powell's in Portland had this book on their Travel shelves, though with one exception (final chapter at a faeries seminar on the Isle of Man), the book is "set" at various seminars and holistic treatment facilities in England; the "travel" aspect is metaphorical/spiritual. Funny in a Bridget Jones way, but not silly. Losada evolves as she tries out different modalities (tantric sex, rolfing, etc.), allowing her readers to learn more about them. A kudo to Powell's (or the Universe!) for putting the book where I'd be sure to notice!
For an American take on the self help scene, read "Helping Me Help Myself" by Beth Lisick.

Fun book that takes you through various new age methods of becoming a better you through the authors trials and tribulations. Isabel is a hoot to read and has some good one liners that really make you think about how you are living your own life. Fast, joyful read.

This is a book about finding happiness and contentment with oneself. The author tries numerous self improvement methods, with hilarious results. This was an enjoyable and self-reflective read.
