It is a quick read. The cover says the author, Mignon G. Eberhart, is America's Agatha Christie. I thought that it was more of a romance than a mystery- a bit like, "Gone with the Wind". It takes place in New Orleans during the Civil War. I enjoyed reading it, but I am romantic.
