"Can old friends still be honest with one another?" This is a VERY GOOD book. I totally enjoyed it. It made you think about many things.
When four women reunite to celebrate their fortieth birthdays in San Diego, past meets present, and the future is changed forever.
On her fortieth birthdy, Dr. Josephine Zambruski sits in her office gazing at a photograph of herself and her three best friends. The women laughing in the picture are 28 years old, and a wedding wsa the last time they were all together. Unexpected tears well up in her eyes. The first release in the Beach House series is the story of four women,friends from childhood,who reunite to celebrate their fortieth birthdays together.I didn't think I would like the book when I first started reading it but after a few pages I couldn't wait to read more.Jo,Char,Molly and Andie each face different problems and revelations and it was really interesting to see how each handled whatever came about. I would recommend this book highly to anyone.

Christian novel.
While I did like this book overall, there were several parts that were just a bit too preachy for my liking.
After you get through the first half (or so), there are a few chapters where these four best friends from childhood all (re)discover Jesus and proceed to beat one another over the head with Him.

I had not read anything by this author before and I was very happy with this book. It was a little slow to get going but once I got going I really enjoyed it and will continue to read more by this author.
Enjoyed reading about these girls and their friendship!!
Excellent book. Reminded me a bit of the Sisterchicks books - but this had more substance to it. If you're looking for a CF book that shows what REAL women deal with, this is a great one to start with.

This was a great book to read at the beach. It is a book about four best friends reconnecting to celebrate their 40th birthdays. A book about God's faithfulness.
