I've had an HP reading club for the past two years and have used this book, in conjunction with other books. It contains info for the first 3 HP books. That's important. Please don't rely just on this book. There are some problems. It has many typos and mistakes regarding symbolism but the one thing that bothered me was how the author tried to associate every chapter with either a Greek, Roman, or Christian myth, for lack o a better word. It started to get on my nerves. Also, a lot of the links are old and don't work.

It is a good book. Just not what I was looking for. It just didn't mesh with my teaching style. Great read and jam packed full of info and ideas for further research. A study guide that breaks down each chapter into vocabulary, content questions, and then project ideas. very neat book.
