I have a very old 15 volume encyclopedia like set, titled "Beacon Lights of History", c 1883, 1888 by John Lord.  Printed in 1902, hardbound with red cloth and a little gilt remaining on the spine.

No idea what it's worth, but based on what I can see on ebay i'd guess anywhere from $20 to $150.  Anyone feel like trading some credits for it?

For what it's worth, the complete text is available via Project Gutenberg here http://www.gutenberg.org/browse/authors/l#a653.  Slightly interesting reading, although, being 100 years old, is quite dated in both its style and substance.

There are a couple sets listed on bookdealers sites for around $100 each.
