Has anyone or your child read this series?  If so are they any good and do you think they are appropriate for an 11 y/o girl?

My daughter wants to get these books but I was told that they might not be age appropriate for her.  Thanks for the input!!

It depends who told you they were inappropriate. I work in a school and they seem appropriate to me.

I don't think she is quite ready for teen books that deal with boyfriends, teen sex, drugs things like that in nature.  I've read the book descriptions but they don't really give you too much information.

The books were specifically marketed to preteens as "an alternative to the perceived preponderance of provocative and objectionable messages aimed at youth culture, particularly the so-called "tweens"", per Wikipedia.

I haven't read the books myself, but they seem to be fine for an 11-year-old.

(Unrelated: Hey!  I lived on Beacon Street last summer.)
