This is one of Harlan Ellison's best, and quite possibly one of the best collections of short stories ever written. Highly recommended.

Ellison may sometimes stray into juvenile and chauvinist territory in this book, but when his sometimes purple prose hits the groove, he swings. Enough of the stories in this book do hit to make it a worthwhile read.
