This is a fascinating read written by Leonard Goldenson, who ran ABC TV during it's ascension from the third, alsoran network to the Number One network during the 1970's. Goldenson got his start in the movie theatre chain busines, later moved into radio, and then into television when the promise of that new medium became apparent. I especially liked the anecdotes about the creation of Monday Night Football and the infighting that occurred in choosing the original broadcasting trio of Frank Gifford, Howard Cosell and Don Meredith.
