Very cute book, it was a great way to waste an afternoon! A bit of a whirlwind romance, I'm surprised they didn't end up at a drive-thru wedding chapel in Vegas. I'm hoping there's a book #2 and #3, there are a couple of characters I wouldn't mind having books all to themselves.

1807 London
Pretty good read. Very fast. The story line was light, but flowed well. I never felt as if the story dragged or ran amock. The hero / heroine relationship developed nicely, and i liked seeing that the characters were able to change without some of the overwhelming hard-headedness necessary as conflict in other stories.

Great Regency historical! Type is larger than most, so it's very easy on the eyes.

He to find his twin, thought to have died at birth, she to meet the Laird MacKenna at his invitation. The end up on the same coach and the fun begins.

Great story...I have been waiting for this one to come out. Charlotte and Phillip seemed like such strong characters in Maxwell's previous book, The Price of Indescretion.

great book
this book is the epitome of awful. poor character development, annoying heroine and stupid hero, pathetic plot twists, abrupt breakdowns in logical story development- and more- all contributed to a dreadful and frustrating read. the romance is half hearted and unlikely and makes one wonder what literature is coming too
This is the second book featuring the Cameron sisters but the third of four in a series. The first book introduces Michael and Isabel who play a role in "The Price of Indiscretion". The other books are : "Temptation of a Proper Governess", "The Price of Indiscretion" (Miranda) and "In the Highlander's Bed" (Constance). I did not read the first book and don't think it is necessary in order to follow the series but it would be helpful to read the Cameron Sister's in order.
This is my favorite author ever. I love all her books. This one is my least favorite.

The distressed traveler Charlotte Cameron encounters on a rainy Scottish night is absolutely the worst man she could have invited into her carriage! It is Phillip Maddox, the reprehensible Duke of Colster, who brought the full weight of the ton's fury down upon her-simply because Charlotte encouraged her sister not to wed the powerful peer. And now, the seductive devil responsible for her social ruin is sitting close enough to kiss...
Phillip's distaste for the meddlesome beauty matches Charlotte's-though, under alternate circumstances, he might have enjoyed sampling the sensuous charms of the tempting young chit.
There is grave danger, however, on the journey they now must reluctantly share-and a nemesis who means them both mortal harm. But can a passion that inconveniently ignites in the face of disaster erase a painful past...and lead two sworn enemies to a most unanticipated destination: the bedchamber?

like all of her books very good enjoyable read
A good read!
Not one of Maxwell's better stories, this is a follow up to The price of Indiscretion.
Interesting read about characters thrown together unexpectedly. Fiesty heroine; strong hero. A few humorous scences where they frustrate and outwit one another.
