Hello- okay so here is where I am at. I am 26 weeks pregnant, and we discovered last week some major complications. Some of its clearing up, and some of it is still waiting on tests results and some of it wont clear up. The good news is where as last friday they were looking at taking the baby when she only weighs a pound, and not much of a survival rate, now they are thinking they can keep me pregnant to full term. But to do that I have to stay on bed rest. Hard core bed rest. they wont let me up to go the bathroom on my own. I have to stay tied to a bed in the hospital till i have the baby hopefully march 8th.

So to keep my sanity I am looking for books. I have a few credits left, but no way to get anymore till March as I have no way to mail any out, (my husband would never be able find books that need mailed) Anyone have any book deals? I read primarily modern romance, Nora Roberts, Harlequins and silohettes, or maybe some text books i could study with? I really dont care about the shape or condition of the book when making a book deal on them. Would be very happy anything that has all or even most of its pages. Dont care about water damage, ripped cover etc. I just need enough stuff to read for a three month hospital stay.

definitely shop the book bazaar thread, sometimes there are some great deal (4 for 1, 5 for 1) and with what you like to read I think you'll find a lot of books you'll like to read!

sending good vibes your way for a healthy baby in early March...March 1 is a good day, that is my anniversary!

Tricia,

The following are in perfect condition:  Captive Splendors (Fern Michaels),  Emma's Secret (Barbara Taylor Bradford),

Sweet Revenge (Nora Roberts).  If you would like them (no credits involved), please PM me and include your address.

Best of luck to you with the bedrest.  It will seem like a long time but a healthy baby is sure worth it.

Hey there! See what you started? :)

I'm sorry to hear about your bed rest. Three months is a long time to be immobile, I'm glad your thinking ahead. I'd be happy to help you make your way through this with a book or two...

I'm not a romance reader myself, but I've ended up with a few on my shelf. I have a bunch by Sandra Brown and about 10 others (Nora Roberts, Binchley, etc.) that I'd be happy to send you titles for you to choose. Since these will not get read by me and have been sitting here awhile, I've been thinking about donating them. If you can use them, please let me know. I can send you all and (if you don't read them) you could use them to post and get more credits. There's probably 15-20 books.

Also, I was thinking you might want to think about ordering some audio tapes to listen too, depending on your health. I don't have any, but there's a lot posted on PBS, with lots of variety.

Sandra Brown romances

  • Temptation's Kiss
  • Love Beyond Reason
  • Led Astray
  • Honor Bound
  • Tiger Prince
  • Heaven's Price
  • Exclusive
  • The Witness
  • Tempest in Eden
  • Where There's Smoke
  • Fat Tuesday

These are not romances, but mysteries. You're welcome to try something new from this list or  from my bookshelf:

Jonathan Kellerman

  • The Murder Book
  • Private Eyes
  • Survival of the Fittest
  • The Conspiracy Club
  • Monster
  • Double Homicide
  • Time Bomb
  • Therapy (2)
  • Dr. Death (HB)

I hope this helps.

Take care,

Jan

Tricia - I'll PM you later tonight with my list of unpostables - I never seem to get around to offering them as a deal, so I will send you whatever you want - I think there are some romance-types in there.  Good luck!!

Will you have access to a laptop?  Maybe you could download audio books to your computer and listen to them?  I know there are a lot of websites out there with free book audio downloads.
