Joe returns from India to London where he is a Scotland Yard Inspector in the historic between-the-wars era. It is a time of spies, murder and salacious scandal. England is torn by class discrimination and strife and killers are more skilled and deceptive. Cleverly jumps right in at the beginning with a murder at an upper-class ball and Joe becomes embroiled in the scene. Another excellent mystery!
