You need to read this book just to see how ridiculus it is. It is just crazy. It was supposed to be on the benefits of stay at home mothers. But it just bashes working moms, saying kids in daycare are despondent, detached, no ability to trust etc etc.

The author does raise valid points about the value of a stay at home parent (how turnover at a day care center affects a child emotionally, and the increased likelihood that a parent would be more responsive to a child than a paid caregiver).
It helped me to defend my decision when I was being pressured to return to work after having my son, and gave me good questions to ask a provider when I do return to work in about a year.
