Excellent book! Beck is a great story teller. He knows that memorizing dates and places, as our schools in many cases teach, is not a way to instill a love of history. You need to tell the story. Children and adults are drawn to a good story. This is a book of those great stories told about a man that in a large part contributed to what all of us readers have today. Maybe even the main person responsible for the freedom we have. You will feel how President Washington is working on your behalf as you read what he did.

I have read several of Glenn Beck's book and I an always entertained. In the writting of this book the research is very obvious. The information is presented in an orderly, logical manner and although it is historical in nature, it is very entertaining in context.
I started reading it and I could not put it down. Over a period of three days I read the entire book. I enjoyed the "Cast of characters" and the "Timeline" at the end of the book. Glenn has also added selected quotes and writtings directly from George Washington himself.
