I saw where there were lots of people who had Thirteen Moons By Charles Frazier on their WL. I posted this book today and there has not been a request for it yet...Weird..Not only that, but I haven't had a WL book offered from here in a very long time. When I joined here I got some of my WL books pretty quick, but here in a long long time i've not gotten anything. Is anyone else going through this or is it just me. I do have my  WL books on automatic-request too!  My last WL book just came from a swap that I was in.....lol..At least I did get one...

Blessings to all

I'm confused.

Could you put a link? I just searched that book and there are plenty in the system as far as I can see. I don't understand how you are seeing them wishlisted.

Scratch that! I see what you saw. But that could be a different copy than the one you have. Have you checked the ISBN?

I only see 1 wisher on the Large Print Hardcover edition of the book, otherwise the other versions have multiple copies available in the system - 61 available in paperback (what you posted) and 12 available in Hardcover. Did you see a list of all time wishing for it instead of current wishers or something?

Sorry you are in a WL drought. Mine seem to come in spurts, I'll get nothing for a while, get a bunch of offers in the same week, then a dry spell again.

I am getting quite a few WL books at the moment.  But, yes, it does seem to come and go.  Maybe it is karma, it seems like the more often I post WL books, the more I get offered to me.

Maybe people are posting books they received for the holidays, and that explain why more WL books are available?  Just a thought - I got my first 3 offered to me in the last 2 days, which has been very exciting.

My WL goes in cycles. I will not get any offered for quie a while and then all of a sudden I will get tons. Watch next month you'll get a couple a week.

Did you know that you can go to your wish list and hold your curser over the small gray circle with the ! in it to see where you are on that title's wishing list? That will give you an idea of how close you are to the front of the line.

I went through a serious WL dry spell for January.  I have 200 books on my list spanning 3 years of waiting.  With both popular and odd books on the list.  Sometimes, the books just aren't coming in.  In the last week, I've had 6 WL books pop up.  One that has been on my list forever, but the rest were all recent releases.  I've got plenty to read at home, so I'm not to worried about it.

I will say that you have a very specialized WL.  I don't know how often books like that are posted, but my guess is that they will come in clumps.  Hang in there and keep reading.

I checked your WL out and it seems like you have a lot of books on WL that just aren't posted that much. They look like books that people tend to keep because they are more expensive.

I've only had one WL offer in the past month, but my mom has had 4 come in just this week!

I posted a wishlist book that has over 100 people waiting last week and I am still waiting for someone to request it.  I am on my 3rd or 4th wishlist hold.  I wonder how long it will take for someone to say they want it.  It's a hard cover too.

I get so frustrated with WL holds - I have gone through 2 holds this week alone!  I don't understand why people don't respond sooner!

I'm always amazed that everyone else isn't equally as glued to their computers (and PBS pages) as I am these days, LOL!

LOL - I know exactly how you feel!!  Can't get outside as there is just too much snow!  How else to spend our time?

Kerry, this is true of my wishlist as well, and I've received very few offers lately also.   I thought maybe it was because of people cutting back on postage for shipping books because of the economy, but it sounds like some of you are getting wishlist books.  It's true that it seems to go in cycles, hopefully it'll swing back the other way soon!

I didn't know that if you hovered over that little grey circle you'd find where you were in line for the book.  One of mine is #1!

Of course, I'm #1 of 1.  Hee-hee

I went a long while without any WL books.  Then this week - BAM!  12 WL books!  I had to go buy credits!

I have a lot of weird books or unusual books on my WL.  I need to go read so I can put some new books on my WL!!  Or maybe I need to go poking around the storage areas to see if there are some books I haven't listed!  ;D

Sigh... #1 of 1 can be the sign of quite a long wait! :-)

You're right, Willa!  I'm 1 of 1 on a lot of WL books.  They never come in.  I think the 3 Dog Night band was right - "One is the loneliest number..."
