I had a book coming that was sent on the 24th and got it today. I also mailed one on the 23rd to Fla and they should get it today, Media mail faster during the holidays ??? You never know.

Excellent!  Love it when that happens.  It just all depends on what room they have left in the mail trucks, so you never know.

Yep, since NOV I've noticed all my media mail books arriving within a week anywhere in the US( even Hawaii)  when it usually takes 2 weeks!

I thought Media Mail was really, really slow in early December...until about a week before Christmas, then it picked up again.  I had several books hung up in transit, then two days before Christmas there were 4 in my mailbox on the same day.

Last year it seemed a high number of wishlisted books were posted in January and February, as members read Christmas gift books then passed them on.  Here's hoping this year is similar!!

More planes moving back and forth to move the additional holiday mail and our media mail finds space too!

I think the P.O. really makes an effort to get packages delivered fast in December. I'm sure they realize that a lot of what they're delivering are gifts, and they don't want a bunch of disappointed people that will decide to use UPS and Fed-Ex next year.
