This was a good read, set on the border of England and Scotland. This is one of a trilogy on the Maclean brothers. I had not read the other books but it didn't matter.

Beautiful romance story. Well written and i loved rhe era, not my usual thing, but very entertaining. I will look for more in this time frame. Kimba rode side by side with her banddit husband, but after he is killed she has to live at the mercy of his thieving clan. To protect her daughter and home she follows their wished, But when she comwes across a wounded warrior, she cannot leave him alone to die. Very good book.
