Berlitz Essential French is basicly the the best book for teaching myslef french that I have came apon. it is great for beginners, and is verry easy and basic to understand. It does not mention the rules to pronounceation, however, there are pronunceation word lists that tell how the words are pronounced. We have also ordered the Berlitz Essential Russian, and it is aperently the same, as well as verry good. The lessons are verry simple, and by each lesson, you will be able to read the small conversations that are in french and english translations.The characters that are in this book make it fun, and a good way to learn all of french grammar, and with a great amount of information on all french grammar. I recomend this fully for anyone who wants to learn french.
This is a very useful book for learning the beautiful French language!
