I am a fan of Bertrice Small. One of my favorite books is The Kadin and the Sky O'malley series. I guess I like the whole sultan theme. Does anyone have any suggestions of another author with these types of books? I thought someone had posted a website for like sheik romance but I can't find it. Any help would be appreciated.

You might find an answer over on the Amazon Romance forum.  I've seen similar questions over there get good answers.  Since Beatrice Small is a good writer, but the majority of her stuff set in Europe.

DEVIL'S DAUGHTER - Catherine Coulter

WICKED LOVING LIES - Rosemary Rogers

There is a book coming out in 2010 about an englishwoman sold into the harem of a whoremonger. It's half Bertrice Small and half CLAIMING THE COURTESAN by Anna Campbell. Its called HIDDEN BEAUTY by Tiffany Clare as of today. Watch out for it.

ETA: oops, I see that you want an author similar to Bertrice Small, not Sultan stories as I suggested above. The authors most similar to Small is early Virginia Henley.  THE FALCON AND THE FLOWER, etc.

Also try Nicole Jordan's Notorious Series and Robin Schone.

Thank you very much. Sultan stories are great also. I will be on the look out for that one too. Oh I had not thought about early Virginia Henley. I will do that. I've seen the falcon and the flower but did not know if it was a good one. I'll try that one too.

And I will go to the Amazon forum also. Thank you very much :)

You have tons of info and a website over on the Amazon forum.  Including that website you were looking for.   Those ladies know their stuff about all these sub-genres. :-)

http://bertricesmall.com/bookshelf_home.shtml that's to her bookshelf where all her novels are posted in order of being released.  And a listing of her books that are to be released.

If you want too Lady Small does have a website where you can interact with her and get all sorts of reading recommendations from the Lively Ladies.  I'm on her boards sometimes, and you can find me under the name of nymphygirl there.  Her website is http://www.bertricesmall.com

i don't know if you got my PM but I've been reading Lady Small's novels since i was 13.  Skye is one my favorites but one of the later books in the series is my favorite and I can't remember the name off the top of my head.

Have you started reading the World of Hetar Series?  The third book in that series is my absolute favorite

I have read the world of Hetar but don't know what book I'm on. I know dumb of me but I got into Christine Feehan and forget it, anything that was not vampire related is waiting. :)

The series is coming to an end with the next book and from the preview that Lady Small has given the fans about teh book, it looks like it's going to be ending with tears.  I haven't cried reading her books since she ended the O'Malley Saga with Vixens.  So this one will be really interesting.

I have a series I'm reading now that deals with a trio of sisters that each have an exciting ability.  The oldest sister is a witch, the middle sister is a shape shifting cat and the youngest sister is a vampire.  I love the story, but haven't finished the fifth book in teh series because it has disappeared.
