R&R must have had to hire a multitude of staff to administer PBS  (not to mention Swap CD and Swap DVD)--this is not a small operation anymore.
I am surprised that there is not an annual "dues" charge by now.......

I think at this point it's all done by volunteers. I think when I joined it said that right now the site was free but at some point a small yearly fee might have to be charged to keep up with the running of the site.

If you count all of us Tour Guides, Image People, Book Data people... that's a lot of volunteers!

I'm pretty sure they have one paid programmer and a paid secretary, but don't know of any others that are paid. Most of the work done on this site is volunteer as Taleah said, including at least two or three volunteer programmers.
