If you are a member of SwapaDVD, you can buy credits cheaper in the SwapaDVD Bazaar and then transfer them here.  Credits there typically sell for as low as $2.80 each.  They transfer in the site "Kiosk" 2 for 3 book credits. So the price you pay for a Book credit would be  $1.87!

In addition, credits are currently selling for $1.85 at the SwapaCD Bazaar.  You can transfer those credits here.   1 Cd Credit = 1 Book Credit.

It may be worth joining the sister sites if you purchase any credits to get books.

Wow, good to know.  You'd think they'd be the same...

Yep, when I run out of credits I plan on doing this.  I was hoping I was the only one who thought of this!  LOL!

I'm assuming you mean people are selling them that low?  I am not there but a friend is and she said that people undersell their credits on the DVD site.

@ Leslie

Yes, credits at the DVD site have sold in the recent past for $3 each.  However, recently, the prices there seem to be headed up while the price here seem to be headed down.

It may eventually get to the point, as one would expect, that the difference in credit prices between the sites drops to a point such that it is not worth the trouble of transferring the credits from site to site.

Credits are still being sold for at the DVD swap site for as little as $3.10.   That is about 20% cheaper than the credits being sold here once you factor the 2 for 3 transfer.

As I predicted,  the price of credits has dropped to the point where it doesn't not make sense to buy them at the DVD swap club to transfer them here.

The leading credit sellers are now also selling credits at the DVD swap club whereas before they were only selling them here.  This indicates that the profit is the same no matter what site they sell them at.

How do you transfer credits? I have some there and what I am waiting for won't be up for a long time, so I would like to use my credits from there here, but I don't know how.

Thanks,

Lisa in Wisconsin

On SwapADVD, click on the "my account" tab.   You should see "transfer credits" as one of the links under that tab.

Due to the recent policy change on Gifting credits,  the prices of credits among the sites has created an opportunity to save money by buying credits at the DVD site.
