Mine would be Meredith Duran for Duke of Shadows.

Ditto.  And Sherry Thomas.  Both show great promise, IMO.

JR Ward.  I finally got around to reading her Black Dagger Brotherhood books and she's blown me away.

Sherry Thomas and Joanna Bourne. I still have to read Duke of Shadows! I think the India stuff intimidates me, for some reason.

I like Joanna Bourne too.  My Lord and Spymaster had some problems for me, but I still think she's a very talented writer.  I loved The Spymaster's Lady.

Oh - and get your little butt moving on that book, Willa:P  It's good.

I just finished "Yours Until Dawn" by Teresa Medieros and it was great! I'll have to look for some more of her books.

Duran and Angie Fox still in the TBR, so can't say yet.  Sherry Thomas and Joanna Bourne, yes.

Don't get too into Maggie Osborne, her stuff is great, but I dont' think she's writing any more.  At least, last time I checked, she had retired.

that's an easy one! well unless i have to narrow it down! but overall I pick Marianne Stillings..she's a new favorite of mine..I actually read all of hers except the very latest(don't think it was out at the time) within a week or two period..almost back to back and I dont usually do that for any author..I think 4 of Vicki Lewis Thompson's nerd books were my last record for most in a row until Stillings.

for erotica I read Promises Linger by Sarah McCarty and really liked it. I also skimmed through a couple books by Samantha Kane and Lacey Alexander and think I'll like those as well for 2 new erotica authors.

I have discovered quite a few new authors recently, most of whom have already been mentioned but I'll list them anyway. Joanna Bourne, Meredith Duran, , Sherry Thomas, Anna Campbell, Eve Kenin, Kalen Hughes, Larissa Ione, Patricia Briggs (not really romances. more like fantasy with romantic elements).

Kristan Higgins- Even with a headache I could *not* put down "Just One Of the Guys", and her other books are in my TBR and they look great too.

Meredith Duran- I love historical romances that are actually historical adventures and/or mysteries first - then the romance comes in- which is what "Duke of Shadows" was for me. I hope she got a great book contract from that and has dozens more gems in her head. :)

I'd add Patricia Briggs but she's written fantasy books for so long before I heard of her through her Mercy Thompson series I'd feel bad calling her "new", even if she is new to me. :) Even though the writing was top-notch I couldn't get into Sherri Thomas's first book, but I do have "Delicious" in my TBR and I'm really looking forward to it.

I would have to say Joanna Bourne and before that, it was Kresley Cole.

Edited to add:  Lisa Valdez, I just remembered.  God, when is the next book coming out by this author?
