I have always loved this edition of the Betty Crocker Cookbook. I started cooking with it in college and it is perfect for basic recipes like pancakes, biscuits, and sauces. I also love the simple definitions for cuts of meat and how to prepare fish. I have dozens of cookbooks and now, of course, the internet but this one is like an old friend.
