I really liked the woman in this story... it started off with alot different feel than some of his... and really took off! never boring at all! I read this one late into the night. I dont want to ruin nay of the book for anyone so I will just say..worth the read.. if you get jumpy at night and scared easy.. read this during the day!

I liked this quick, easy read by Laymon. I found the sex in this one to be more in tune with the story instead of just happening for no reason. Good characters and a lot of fun and excitement.

a short quick read, very entertaining, not so much 'horror' and it takes a while to finally realize what is going on but it will hold your interest all the way

This was a shorter, more graphic novel than some of his others. Comprised of nonstop action, but tempered with less characterization than most of Laymon's books that I have read. It wasn't one of my favorites, but it was certainly entertaining. Overall, it seemed like a less mature novel - mostly due to the characters and the rape scenes clearly influenced by _The Entity_. Still, it was a fun book in its own way.
As a life long fan of the horror genre, Richard Laymon understands what it takes to get under your skin (and in most cases, in his books, that would be literal).
Beware is one of those books that is relentless from the beginning. His ending is not as good as some of his others (The Island had me saying "No Way!" for weeks), but it is still great.

Another good tale by Richard Laymon, the usual blood gore and sex.
