Search - Big Girls Don't Cry

I struggled to finish this book. It was so formulaic, and the main character (Leena) was annoying and acted like a ditz at times. There were too many supporting characters, most of whom were just not needed. The story was all over the place and quite superficial - I never felt like I cared about the characters at all. I was disappointed in this book.

Story of a girl trying to make it as a plus size model in chicago but ends up losing her job and having to move home- to the trailer park, family and town she dreads. She starts working for the local hunky vet and sparks fly. I thought the main character was a bit whiny but she does grow up. Overall I think the book was only OK.

3 cute romance stories set. Lots of crazy characters.

A fast light read. I was a little disappointed that the past relationship between Leena and Cole was silly and hardly a reason for her to get 'even' with him now that she is back in town.

As said by another.....too many supporting female characters, but on the whole a good, quick summer read.

This book was just OK. The tone is a little whiny after a while. However, there is one great self-concept conversation between the main character (a plus size model) and a teenage girl, whose stick thin mother repeated tells her how fat she is.
