I loved this book for it's realistic pictures (animals are animals - not dressed in silly clothes) and simple story line. Gorgeous illustartions of the farm animals at both day and night. It makes you feel like you are sharing a day on the farm with them. A family favorite!

The rhyming text in the book is typiclly good Margaret Wise Brown. Very cute, and more-or-less realistic throughout the story. Many different animals are presented, as well as different areas of the farm. The illustrations are wonderfully done, and a highlight of the book. We'll end up keeping this book to share with siblings and cousins.

Fabulous children's book! It does a beautiful job of teaching about the animals that live in the Big Red Barn through rhyme and what they do during the day and night. This is a must read for all children
