While I love LLM's books, this one was OK. To me, at least, it kind of meandered around to the finish.

I agree with Regina's review that the Boone story was what I wanted to hear more about. And that of Opal and the new pastor. Interesting.

Slightly disappointed in this book. It wasn't horrible but not great. For such a bad boy, Hutch's story was very tepid. There was a lot of repeated talking back and forth in Kendra's mind (the Kendra who wanted Hutch and the one who wanted to stay away). It didn't work and was kind of boring. And for all the history between Hutch and Kendra, it was never discussed. Miller tried to make the story deep towards the end but it turned out cheesy.

Really more interested in Boone and Tara plus Opal's story more.
