The Bingo Palace
Author: Louise Erdrich
At a crossroads in his life, Lipsha Morrissey is summoned by his grandfather on the reservation. There he comes to terms with his heritage, his future, and his first true love in this novel of spiritual death, lyrical prose, and wild hope: the latest and most luminous work in the series begun with Love Medicine.

I definitely agree with, "Readers of her earlier novels, who can place this one in a wider context, should enjoy the book more than new readers who may be left cold by too-brief glimpses into too many hearts." And having read the earlier books at least twice each, until the book, "The Last Report on the Miracle of Little No Horse," this one was my favorite.

This book will not disappoint the fans of Erdrich's previous books. Her characters'lives interweave with the past, their Native culture and the spiritual core of their heritage. A wonderful story from my favorite author.
