These are "bipartisan" because even my household meat-eaters like them!
Add the 1/2 cup dry bulgur to one cup hot water. Let sit 15 minutes until all the water has been absorbed. Fluff with fork. Saute onion, red pepper and minced garlic in olive oil; add to bulgur in medium bowl. Add rest of ingredients and mix well until the mixtures holds together. If it is too dry, add a few drops of water and keep mixing until it all holds together. If it is too wet, add more breadcrumbs until you get to the right consistency. Shape into burgers and fry in a little olive oil until golden brown on both sides. You can season as you cook them with a sprinkle or two of Bragg's Organic Sprinkle seasoning. Serve with whatever condiments your folks are into. Very mild, basic veggie burger and much better than store-bought/frozen ones!
