I really liked this book. I wanted to know more about birds, and how to attract them and what to feed. This book tells about different types of feeders, watering birds, dealing with squirrels and dealing with other problems common to attracting and feeding birds. Plants that attract them, how to observe them, a year in the life of a bird, how to identify birds, and social and maintenance behavior.
Then it has color pictures and information on 23 of the most common birds we might find in your yards. Each one has information about the bird, their where they are found in the U.S., appearence, common myths, songs and calls, feeder habits, habitat habits, and more!
I really liked it because it has thorough, complete yet compact information for an amateur bird lover like me. Quick and easy to reference without wading through detailed and scientific information that I really didn't need.
