This was a delightful book written by an Iowa large animal vet. His stories are hilarious, frustrating and sometimes sad. I learned a lot about birthing cows. Doesn't help with my chickens but if I encounter a cow in labor I will be ready. Dr. Lucas writes in the James Herriot style that will keep you reading through to the end of the book. Be prepared to laugh out loud.
