It was very refreshing to see history through the eyes of a spunky teenager instead of the typical old man!

A family in Florence during the Renaissance...It brings you back there and one learns about politics, painting, family life, etc. Fabulous.

I just could not get into this book. I was hoping it was better than the dreadfully creepy SACRED HEARTS, but it was not. I realize now that I do not like Sarah Dunant's writing. Her Hannah Wolfe series was also very disappointing.
