So, I was setting up my DVR to record Being Human, when I see that there is this show Bitten about a female werewolf, and I think, huh, sounds like Kelley Armstrong's series.  I look on SyFy's website and LO! it is BASED ON these books!  How did I not know this existed before last night, the premeire!

I think they were originally supposed to do it on CW a year or so ago.  I guess it ended up getting picked up by syfy instead

I watched it the next day on demand and I was dissappointed.  I just didn't care for the guy who played Jeremy.  I visualized him a little more ethnic and way better looking.  Overall though it wasn't too bad.  It seemed to follow the story line pretty well I'm just not sure if its going to stay with the pack or evolve adding more characters like the books did.  Not sure how it will work out!

Issa talked about this months ago but she didn't say it would be on syfy!  No one actually wanted to discuss if with her though  ;(

I watched it, but, I don't know if I like Elena! She isn't like I expected her to be :)

I'm glad they actually have them shifting and such, and they aren't avoiding trying to deal with that part.

I love the fact that they show Jeremy twice just sniffing the air right before someone came in the room, clearly identifying the person from scent.

In the books they talked a lot about using thier other senses - scent and sharper hearing.

I was dissapointed with CLAY!!!!! Not so with Nick. I think they hit pretty close to home with his charcter. TV Clay so does not live up to my hotness factor. Who ever they got to play Phillip is more how I would picture Clay. I'm not really happy with the way they are portraying Elana's character either. She is nowhere near that "Glamorus" or put together. They touch on some of her issues but we shall see. From what I could tell from the preview of future episodes they will be introducing other charcters as they go. I will stick with this however because it is TV and they do have to twist it a bit for entertainment and all that even thought her books are plenty entertaining. It is worth checking out for sure!

Kate I agree too about Clay he isn't as hot as I had him pictured.  Also I think I had him with lighter hair too though.  However I watched Durham County which Greyston Holt was also in and he's not a bad actor, so I'm hoping that will make up for it!

After watching the second episode I'm pretty sure I will always be dissapointed with Jeremy though.  I just plain old don't care for him, I'm not sure he will grow on me.  I might be able to ignore him if only to see where the show goes from here.

Is anyone else wanting to bing watch it though.  Maybe I've been watching to much netflix but I keep wanting to hit the next one.  It also might come from the fact that they don't really cover that much during the episodes, it really leaves me wanting.

I will say after the second episode I like it better. Except Jeremy. Jury is still out on his character. Now Clay on the other hand, I think is growing on me. Especially after watching him roll around on the ground with Nick shirtless...hmmmm. Still can't quite pull off the "Darlin" though. I agree about being left wanting but I think it's because I already know what happens and am ready to get to the action! I hope they bring in Karl at some point also. He is one of my favs. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Isn't Jeremy suppose to be half Japanese? I seem to remember one short stories had his mother being Japanese. Does anyone remember that.short story. Maybe it was in Men of the Otherworld.

Alice

I saw episode one and liked it overall. Elena was okay, wasn't wild about Clay. Overall I enjoyed it.

I watched episode 2, and I'm still liking how they are showing some of the more wolfish traits, especially the deference to Jeremy as alpha, and the use of their senses in "normal" settings.

Still not sure I like Elena yet....also can't wait to get past the tension with Clay.

Alice I'm not sure they said she was Japanese, they said jeremy's mother was a Kitsune which are supposed to be from Japan!  I don't remember if we ever got a discription of his mother and I got rid of my copy of bitten a long time ago.  I wanted to check it when I watched the first episode to see how Kelley Armstrong originally described Jeremy because I was thinking he would look more asian too!  Well at least a little more ethnic, because after years of breeding they could have breed out some of the more asian features.  On her website it doesn't give a discription other than Black hair, black eyes, and Height 6'2" so that wasn't helpful!  *sigh*  I'm just trying to overlook how much I dislike that actor to enjoy the show.  Jeremy was one of my favorite characters too so its really dissapointing me.

okay, so, I seem to have forgotten how it is that Elena gets away from the boyfriend and back with Clay - can someone refresh my memory?  If you don't want to spoil for those who might not have read, a PM is fine to!

To the best of my recollection Clay went back to Toronto with Elana because of the threat of the mutts.   Do not know how long he was there but in the end I believe she changed in front of Phillip accidentally.  She then went back to stonehaven realizing it was where she belonged.
