If you are a fan of governmental conspiracy theories, you will be captivated by this one....You are left wondering if it could possibly be????

"Black Friday" revolves around a mass terrorist plot concocted by bitter Vietnam War veterans who want vengeance against the United States government and society in general. The way to hit them where it really hurts was by attempting to strike a severe blow towards the U.S. Stock Market, and therefore, causing a crash that would severely hurt the U.S. economy. An interesting Pre 9/11 terrorist plot...Definitely not as good as previous books by Patterson.

Pretty good once you get into it

This is similiar to events that have happened in our time. A very realistic book.

Another great book by Patterson involving an elite militia force attempting to take Wall Street to it's knees. Fast-paced and exciting all throughout the book.

This to me was nothing like a James Patterson book. James Patterson books are generally page turners and this one was far from that. From the beginning I had a hard time getting into it. The premise is interesting, but didn't cause the normal suspense. I never finished the book and after the 9th chapter I put it back on my list.

Truly this is a personal opinion, but I didn't care for the book.

Rare is the performer who can juggle multiple foreign accents fluidly. Stephen Lang somehow manages to keep well over a dozen ethnically diverse characters in the air as he narrates James Patterson's fast-paced international thriller about a conspiracy to disrupt the world's financial markets. As the story opens, a militia group known as "Green Band" detonates explosives in several key buildings in New York's financial district. They have no apparent motive or demand, and their link to an unseen international terrorist is ambiguous. It is up to Federal Agent Archer Carroll to unravel the plot before it unravels the Western world. The novel--an adaptation of an earlier Patterson book--bears minor anachronisms, but listeners won't mind as Lang's relentless pace and Patterson's storytelling guide them on this terrifying ride.

James Patterson is one of the best mystery writer around, always enjoyable.

I love anything James Patterson writes and this book was no exception!

This is an early work of Patterson's. It was good, although not as good as the Alex Cross series. Still an enjoyable, albeit quick, read.

Not his best, but still good.

I regret to say that I have come late to Mr. Patterson's writing, and boy, was I in for a very pleasant surprize, and a helluva ride! A serious twist, that I did not see coming!

Huge disappointment from Patterson. Political, conspiracies, terrorist, etc. just not my cup of tea and after 150 pages just couldn't go farther just too much of the above and not at all interesting.
