Does anyone else go shopping on Black Friday?  I've gone for the last 7 years or so, normally with my niece, though this will be the first year without her.

I just wanted to let you know a website that leaks the adscans early I've found it very accurate and very valuable when planning which stores to hit when in years past.  They're not all up yet, but they will be by the tuesday before Thanksgiving (or maybe earlier).  I've tried some of the other black friday websites, but this one seems to be the best I've found.  Thought I'd share the tip.  http://bfads.net/

Does anyone have any super Black Friday buys from past years (or things that will be on sale this year) to share?

Last year my big deal was that I got my Wii for $120.  Walmart ad-matched it and gave me the $50 gift card, so I thought that was a great price.  Much better than $200.

This year I'm limiting myself to $200, to spend on Black Friday, I think.

I've never ventured out on black friday and this year I'm scheduled to work unless they shut down the plant where I work. actually hoping to work since it's easy overtime pay! I just hate crowds and around here people are pretty aggressive(Houston area). you got an awesome deal on that wii..Im jealous but still don't think I'd venture out unless I was guaranteed to get one! a coworker loves black friday..she takes vacation every year for that day and has gotten some good deals I think.

I do BF online -some of the door crasher sales aren't available but there are a lot of good deals.  I"m in central time so sometimes at 11:00pm or so I can start my shopping and be done by midnight!  There is no way you'd find me in the crowds!

Vitallia:  Thanks for the web site address.  Some years I do and some years I don't.  Don't know my plans yet.  My grandkids only want money so, other than a stocking stuffer or so, shopping for them is easy. But I do use these kinds of sales to shop for myself.

I still remember the day after christmas sales when my parents would run to western auto and otasco? that would clear out toys for 50% off since they were auto parts places then to skaggs for 1/2 of christmas wrapping paper etc and one year in skaggs 2 women got into a fight right in front of us..were doing tug of war over a toy! I had never seen anything like it - was probably in first grade but that was the last year we went I think.

The scariest year was the one year I went to Kansas City.  Apparently there was a shooting over a $200 computer...from then on, we stuck to smaller towns.  People are crazy, but usually nice.

Its a tradition more than anything for me and dd.  We leave the house about 3am with coffee in hand and wait in line !  After we're all done we hit McD for breakfast.  We like getting bargins, but for me more so is spending time with her, its our 'thing'.

I enjoyed the couple times I went with my mom.  We went in the afternoon. :P  We do Thanksgiving at our house now and there isn't a mall nearby to drive to that's very interesting.  The decorations and strange stores were half the fun and the local mall is pretty weak on the decorations and fairly small.  So we tend not to go out.

I look at the ads.  Mainly to find the store that have "5 per store" and similar fine print so I know where to avoid shopping the rest of the year.  I absolutely HATE that gimmick and consider it fraud to have uber deals--but not enough to even last the first five minutes they are open.  It may be legal, but I have zip interest in supporting any store that does it.

Sara it's a tradition for some of my older cousins and their daughters...even the 3rd cousin is going with them this year I think(she's 4 now) I don'tusually make it upt here for thanksgiving but last year I did and they were plotting their strategy...even at Christmas they repeat with the after-christmas sales! it's fun for them and heck I'd have gone with them if I hadn't been getting ready to drive back home 4 hours away! and  my mom was never into shopping so it's not something we enjoyed doing together..it was always me begging to go to walmart or the mall and her saying no or doing it grudgingly or rushing me. cousins might be fun though!
