I have some used books, that came from a library sale. That have a single black mark on the outside of the pages of the book. Almost like someone took a sharpie and slashed a mark across it as they maybe counted or sorted the book. It doesn't affect or the inside or the front or back cover. Like I said it's a single black mark.

Postable or not?

Postable.  Here's a link to a post about these marks with a good explanation of them as well :)

Our FOL store uses marks on the bottom pages to indicate prices. I have sent many, many books with the Xes. When I was a "newbie," I would PM people to tell them about the mark. Now that I'm an "oldie" and have read the HELP section, I no longer do that! No one has ever complained.Enjoy sending your books!
