This was my first T. Jefferson Parker novel but definitely not my last. This author writes terrific mystery novels that keep you guessing until the last page. Merci Rayborn was convinced her partner, Archie Wildcraft, did not kill his wife and turn the gun on himself. She sets out to prove what really happened. Archie eascapes from the hospital to prove to himself that he didn't do this horrible thing. Many twists and surprises. Really wonderful book.
