Hi - my first post in this forum and I have a question - does anyone know if Nancy Martin will have another "Blackbird Sisters" book? I read through the series recently and while book 7 seemed to tie-up some loose ends it left a few things open, and I'd hate to have that book be the final one. Nothing at her website about a new book but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Gail

  Add me to the curious!  I try to read series like this slowly because you never know if another one will come out or not, and sometimes the author's websites are not very forthcoming about the next release date, if there is one!

I'm glad I'm not alone in wondering if there will be more. I was having connection problems when I posted my original message, but finally had the chance to search through the Penguin site and even there, on Nancy's page, there's no mention of a future title. Bummer.....

Hi, Lori----and thanks for your note.  I hope I won't be losing all you lovely paperbackswap readers when I admit that MURDER MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH is the last Blackbird mystery--at least for the time being.  Right now I'm finishing up revisions on the first book in a new series------about Mick's ne'er do well little sister.  I think you'll like these books, too, but the first one won't debut until next March.  So please don't forget about me until then!  If the new series does well, my former publisher may want more Blackbird books, so fingers are crossed!  Thanks very much for your interest.  I appreciate the note!

LORI!!!!!! Thanks so much for this update. It's encouraging for sure. I love Nancy's books to begin with - her romances were excellent and I loved those Blackbird books - her writing is terrific and I guess that's what does it for me. I like the idea of a new series so will be petiently waiting for next March; I hope she has her signature humor in them. I'll check her website - hopefully towards the end of the year she'll have more information. Thanks again. Gail

Lori, you could email her again and ask if she could post on her website a character "Where are they now?" to tie up the lose ends. Kate Kingsbury did that for her "Manor House" mysteries when the puiblisher didn't opt for a 10th book.
