This was absolutely one of the best true crime books I've ever read. Everyone who is into true crime should read it.

Originally I read this book when it was first published. I thoroughly enjoyed it for the true story content as well as the lengthy research and presentation. In re-reading "Blood & Money" the entertainment was as great as when I read it the first time. My girl is reading it now and also finds it very interesting. Craig Jones

Very detailed and interesting, the basis of a miniseries with Sam Elliott, Farrah Fawcett and Andy Griffith in the 1990s.

From the back of the book.....In 1969 Joan Robinson Hill, a beautiful Texas socialite, died after s "mysterious illness." In 1972 her doctor-husband, John Hill, charged with is wife's death, survived a mistrial, only to be brutally slain himself.
What happened before, during, and after these events is the most astonishing true story you may ever read about the anatomy of murder and about the men and women-from the solid-gold ghettoes of Houston's super-rich to its seamy underworld-whose lives are ruled by the brute force of blood and money.

this book is showing its age, with yellowed, brittle pages but still a good true crime read
