This is the best Nate Kenyon I have read so far. It really starts out with a strange kidnapping and then leads to a mystery of an amulet from long ago egypt. Kenyon fleshes out his characters better in this book than he has in his books that have come after. He is a promising writer.

This book is not for the faint of heart. I found it truly riveting and hard to put down. Reminds me of Stephen King's early work and scary enough you might not want to read before bed. A terrible secret in a small town is about to be let loose. Two people under harsh circumstances they cannot control are led to this town and their worst nightmares come to life. Forgetting the past is easier said than done.
